How to Style Short Hair

Saturday, July 26, 2014

Hi gals,

So today I have just a quick post for you, I got my hair cut quite short recently (I love it!) and so I though i'd make a post about how you can style short hair because there's so much less that you can do compared to long hair!

This is the first time that I've gotten someone else (my brother) to take the photos for me, and I think that they've actually turned out so well!

I haven't written down instructions or steps for any of these, because most of them are pretty self explanatory! Enjoy!

one / / The Itty Bitty Side Braid

two \ \ The Half-up-Half-down

three \ \ Simply wear it out!

(I felt so much like Jasmine Dowling in this last pic!)

four \ \ Low Ponytail

five \ \ 2 piggy-tails

I hope you guys liked this little post, It was really fun to do the mini photo-shoot!

I'm still trying to find more ways that i can style my new hair length, but I'm really loving having short hair for a change!

The 'Care' Range

Friday, July 18, 2014

Hi babes,

So during Autumn I received this amazing hair care range called 'Care by Nak' and I've been using them throughout Winter to keep my hair super soft!

They're Australian made, which is great, but what's even better is that a percentage of the profit made is going to support breast cancer research.

The range consists of a conditioning treatment, a leave in moisturiser and a styling foam. I think the products are actually made for Summer to protect your hair from the sun, but works just fine during the other months!

This is the daily leave in moisturiser. It's for protecting your hair from the sun and winds while It can also be used to detangle, increase softness and shine while improving overall condition! This one is really good to apply in the morning because it acts like a protective layer on your hair!

This one is the conditioning treatment. It's made to restore softness and shine, and really helps repair split ends! I love how they've used Shea Butter in this product to really soften your hair.

Finally this is the styling foam, it's like a really good smelling hair mousse! It has Medium hold, it's weight free, and has thickening formula that'll instantly deliver volume from root to tip. It dries so quickly and isn't sticky in your hair, great for achieving that super sleek high ponytail!

Hope you guys liked this post!
I've got so many photos and blog posts ready now! It makes it so much easier to keep on top of my goal to post on my blog at least every week!

\ \ Melted Crayon Wax Candle \ \
Hi lovelies!

So today I have my first DIY for you! I found this quick melted crayon candle DIY on Pinterest and it looked just so simple and cute that I had to give it a go!

What you'll need \ \

Candle Wick .. I bought this from a local craft store for only $2 but if you can't find any you can use kitchen string, both of them will work fine

Coloured Crayons .. These are really cheap crayons i bought from the same craft store, you don't really need expensive crayons for this, because you're just going to melt them!

Ceramic Bowl .. Or any other microwave safe bowl you have

Glass Jar .. I'm using this tiny glass jar i found and I just peeled off the trim from the outside so you could see the colour of the candle

Scissors .. Just to cut up the candle wick or string

STEP 1 .. Choose a few of the coloured crayons, I just chose these ones because they were all in the same range of colours, and I wanted to mix them all together to make purple!

STEP 2 .. Put all of the crayons into the bowl and then put them into the microwave for 2 minutes (Don't mind the other bottle in front, I tried using it for my candle but realised that I don't have enough wax to fill it!)

*The bowl was so hot when I took it out!!

STEP 3 .. Just to make sure you don't spill anything when you pour the melted wax into the jar put something underneath it, I'm just using a paper towel so I can throw it out afterwards

STEP 4 .. I used a funnel to make it easier to pour the melted wax into the jar, and I've also thread the candle wick through the funnel to keep it in place. Make sure the wick is as straight as possible in the jar so it's easier burn

STEP 5 .. Set the candle aside for a bit then after a couple of minutes you will have your finished candle!

I go back to school on Monday :(  but I'll try to keep posting on my blog and Instagram so keep a watch out for new posts! But I love my new little candle! Luckily the crayons i chose don't smell like anything bad!!

Hi lovelies!

So recently I posted a picture on my Instagram .. @inhale.grace .. and asked you guys to comment any questions you have that I can answer in this week's blog post, I've got quite a lot of questions to answer, so, let's get started!

1 - Why and when did yo create a blog?
I started 'Inhale Grace Blog' in May and am really happy with how much it's grown since then! I started blogging because I was inspired by a lot of girls in my year 7 class who had blogs and I just thought having a blog would be fun and i'd somehow benefit from blogging!

2 - What is your favourite season?
Ok it's easily got to be Autumn, I was born in Autumn, it's not too hot in Autumn, it's not too cold in Autumn... AUTUMN!

3 - What are you currently obsessed with?
At the moment as i've probably said before, I'm obsessing over Project runway and Australia's next top model. I'm also in love with 5AM yoghurt which i've been eating almost every day now.

4 - If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?
Greece. I've always wanted to stay at Greece in the original little town areas down by the seaside! It's just so beautiful there, all the white houses are amazing and i've always wanted to go swimming down in the crystal clear water! I'd definitely choose to go to Greece!

5 - What's your favourite book?
Well I couldn't choose just one! My favourite books would have to be the Harry Potter series, except for The Order of The Phoenix, It's just so boring! But I love the Harry Potter books and movies and everything!

6 - What is the number one thing wrong with society in your eyes?
In my eyes it's gotta be same sex marriage, I'm completely in favour of it! No one should be stopped from marrying the person they love, no matter what their gender is! True love is a rare and important thing and we need to acknowledge that every one is different and we all love different people! People should not be stopped from marrying someone of the same gender.

7 - Last food you want to eat before you die?
Well I always think that when you die you just go into eternal darkness for a while so i'd like to be prepared and eat carrots as the last food before i die so i can see what's happening in the darkness! (lol, carrots what am I thinking!)

8 - Celebrity crush?
Chris Evans! Or you may know him as, Captain America from the movies.

9 - Winter or summer?
idk when it's summer I really wish it was winter because it's too hot, and when it's winter I can't wit for summer because it's just too cold!

10 - What's your favourite flavour of EOS?
I can't choose between Summer Fruit and strawberry Sorbet! But I have been using Summer Fruit a lot more, because the other is just too sweet smelling, so i'd have to say my favourite is Summer Fruit (the red one)

11 - Do you have a polaroid?
no!! Aww I really want one!

12 - Top three travel destinations?
1. Greece 2. Tokyo 3. Canada (to see the northern lights)

13 - Favourite blogs?
Mia and Midas
Clouds and dots
Deers and daisies
Freshlly Pressed
Chestnutt blog
Uhm Chelsea
Vanilla craft blog

14 - Favourite part of blogging?
The whole blogging community! Everyone is so nice and will compliment you and your blog, it's just so nice to get all this great feedback! I also love just checking out my favourite blogs and getting inspiration from there, everyone has such great creative ideas!

15 - What would you never do? Even for a million dollars?
Break the law and possibly be sent to jail, I'd never want to go to jail, not even for one day, it's really scary there! So i'd never go to jail, not even for a million dollars

16 - Favourite outfit?
Not saying just yet, I'm planing an OOTD for that!

17 - Favourite emojis?
🐢🐚🐱⚓😊✨😊 (Idk if they'll actually show up on my blog but there's the turtle, shell, cat, stars, happy blushing face, anchor)

18 - What made you want to create a blog?
Like in question 1 i was inspired by the other girls in my class with blogs, and blogging just really somehow became something that i really wanted to get into!

19 - What's your most expensive item of clothing?
That's gotta be my 2XU's i don't think i have anything in my wardrobe that cost more than $140 but I am literally in love with my 2XU's!

20 - What's your least favourite fashion trend at the moment?
I'm sorry if I offend anyone but i really don't like the sock and heels thing! I know some people just can''t leave their Windsor Smith's for the warmer month's but it's really not fashionable in my eyes, especially when they're worn with patterned socks.

21 - What country are you from?

22 - What Hogwarts house are you in?
So I've taken a test on this website called Potermore three times now and I can't believe the result! Thank's sorting hat for placing me in... SLYTHERIN! (lol, i'm sooo evil!)

23 - What's your favourite songs?
My songs know what you did in the dark - Fall Out Boy
The Phoenix - Fall Out Boy
Na Na Na Na - My Chemical Romance
Pumping Blood - nonono
Hall of Fame - The Script

24 - What's your favourite sports?
Well I love basketball, netball, Aussie rules, cross county and athletics. I just love playing sport!

25 - Favourite colour?
Hmm well I have five. I love mint green, purple, watermelon, peach and it might not count because it's a shade but white. Pastel colours are my favourites!

26 - Who's your inspiration?
SARA DONALDSON! I love her fashion sense and her hair cut, it's gorgeous! She is so beautiful and can pull off any outfit! Isn't she amazing! (below)

Wow this is probably my biggest blog post so far, but it was really fun to do! I'm hoping to do an OOTD for you guys soon so look out for that! Don't forget to check out my Instagram @inhale.grace

Love you all, Ash xx

H&M Haul

Friday, July 04, 2014

Hi lovelies!

So I went to H&M recently and wow, my mum and I came back with three bags full!! I love H&M already and am totally obsessed with all my new purchases, so, i thought i'd share my obsessions with you and show you guys what i bought on my trip into the city! Not all three bags were mine but anyway theres still quite a lot here (haha no surprise!) so let's get started!

1 \ \ Black outdoor sport jacket .. I only bought this two days ago and I've already worn it twice on my morning runs! It's really warm inside which is so great for the cold Melbourne winters

2 \ \ Brown leather handbag .. Well I haven't used it yet (surprisingly!) but I just couldn't say no to this gorgeous brown handbag!

3 \ \ 5 pack of coloured scalloped edge socks .. Great to wear with my black boots, the colour of the socks just pokes out from the top! I am just obsessed with cute socks right now!

4 \ \ Super skinny super low waist denim jeans .. Who doesn't love a pair of skinny leg jeans!

5 \ \ Black and white striped knit top .. This top is just so pretty! Haha I'm actually wearing it right now! It's meant to be quite fitted but I got a size up so It's nice and baggy, thought it looked nicer that way!

6 \ \ Good old black hair ties .. Well I was running out of black hair ties (seemed to have disappeared from my wardrobe!) so when I spotted these bad boys lying next to the counter I just had to get some!

7 \ \ Black textured skater skirt .. I've wanted to get my hands on a skater skirt for a while now and this one is just perfect! It's got a sort of diamond pattern texture to it which is really cute!

Only one more week of school holidays for me, but I'm actually looking forward for it to start again! (I'll be able to get rid of school work and highlighters from my desk!) Can't wait until the weekend, I'm going away to Phillip Island and am so glad that I'll have some time to chill down near the beach!

Love you all, Ash xx
